Testing-Driven Development Model
Each week includes a primary performance test.
Training sessions are designed to prepare, reinforce, and improve that test outcome as well as on-field performance.
WEEK 1 (1/11) & WEEK 7 (3/1) | ACCELERATION TEST DAY
Primary Tests: 10-Yard Sprint, Broad Jump
What This Measures: Start speed, horizontal force production, first-step explosiveness
WEEK 2 (1/25) & WEEK 8 (3/8) | MAX VELOCITY TEST DAY
Primary Tests: 40-Yard Fly Sprint, 20-Yard Fly Sprint
What This Measures: Top-end speed, sprint efficiency, upright mechanics
WEEK 3 (2/1) & WEEK 9 (3/15) | DECELERATION TEST DAY
Primary Tests: 20m Sprint → Controlled Stop
What This Measures: Braking ability, eccentric control, injury-risk resilience
WEEK 4 (2/8) & WEEK 10 (3/22) | CHANGE OF DIRECTION TEST DAY
Primary Tests: Pro Agility (5-10-5), L-Drill
What This Measures: Directional change efficiency, hip transition, re-acceleration
WEEK 5 (2/15) & WEEK 11 (3/29) | EXPLOSIVE POWER TEST DAY
Primary Tests: Vertical Jump, Reactive Strength Index (RSI)
What This Measures: Elastic power, rate of force production, lower-body explosiveness
WEEK 6 (2/22) | SPEED ENDURANCE TEST DAY
Primary Tests: 300-Yard Shuttle, 40-Yard Repeats
What This Measures: Ability to maintain speed under fatigue, game-conditioning readiness

Bio
Grant DePalma, aka Coach Palms, is a former Division I linebacker, team captain, and professional football player with over 17 years competing in the game of football and 7+ years of performance coaching experience. He has trained athletes at every level — from NFL veterans and D1 athletes to high-potential high schoolers and hungry youth players — guiding them through each phase of the elite athletic journey.
His coaching blends science-backed performance systems, football IQ and on-field skill work, and whole-athlete development — with a heart for the greatest good of each athlete he coaches. “We don’t just train to look good — we train to play long at an elite level and lead well.”
